Crystal Therapy Healing … that’s a new one on me. Not something I would normally think about having done BUT I took a chance and gave it a go and I really liked it. Keep on reading to find out how I got a little freaked out during the session though (in a good way).
Crystals aren’t a new thing, they really aren’t. Think back to what you learnt at school, about how ancient Egyptians or Mayans used to wear precious jewels including crystals in their everyday life. In fact, not just wear – they adorned themselves in jewels and were buried in them for various reasons including beliefs in their healing powers.

I paid a visit to a wonderful lady called Heather at Crystal Healing Cheshire based in Cheadle. The room was a lovely, quiet, tranquil little place with soft music playing throughout the session. I told Heather that I didn’t know anything about Crystal Healing so she explained that it works on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and basically puts you in a better place then when you walked through the door at the beginning of your session.

I have to say, I was a little bit sceptical.
Heather started off by holding a Crystal in front of where my Chakras are to see whether any were blocked or needed rebalancing …. ironically my blockages included my head, throat and heart ( quite interesting considering what I have been through in my life).
Heather then asked me to lay down (fully clothed if you were wondering) on the bed whilst she picked the Crystals that she would be using during the session. Heather then went on to lay various crystals around me and actually on me as she was working on me in the hour long session.

Heather didn’t speak to me during the rest of the session and you are basically in a state of relaxation (I honestly could have fallen asleep) as Heather works her magic around you; but as I said, I was a little bit sceptical but I soon changed my mind when I spoke to Heather at the end of the session.
I explained to Heather that I could feel her as she worked on my right side with the Crystals and that that side of my body went very cold (the room was really warm though) … I could feel that I had goosebumps and I wanted to get wrapped up, Heather explained that this was the negative energy and emotional tension leaving my body so that it could rebalance and put me in a better state of mind.
Then, this is how it gets even more interesting…. I told Heather that I really liked the feel of the hot stones (similar to when you have a hot stone massage) that she placed on my forehead on two separate occasions during the hour, it was a welcome relief from feeling the cold… except Heather said that she didn’t even use any hot stones!!!
What?!?!?! You see how I was a little freaked out here, I thought she was fibbing – the stones were definitely warm but Heather showed me that she had nothing to use in the room to warm them up. Well, I was stumped and a little bit confused.
Heather went on to explain that this was the angels returning the positive energy back into my body after all the negative energy has left … and you know what I actually believed her.
You see. I’m an Atheist, I don’t believe in God – I am thoroughly against that whole story/faith/belief, whatever you like to call it. But Angels, ghosts, another spiritual life, that’s totally my thing. I have a complete belief that there’s another world walking side by side us every day, us not disturbing them and them not disturbing us until we move over to the next life.
At the end of the session, Heather told me that she often sees images whilst doing these sessions that might not make sense to her but may do to you. She had a few random ones like a skater whizzing across an ice rink and spinning around and flying back before reaching the end – I laughed as this is pretty much what my life is like every day, everything going so fast that I barely get one thing finished before I’m on to the next, so this totally made sense to me.
There were also another couple of images, that got me a little bit emotional.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my session with Heather, I came out feeling very relaxed (which trust me, isn’t normal for me) and I even managed to have a full night’s sleep that night (this very rarely happens as I often wake up), it was good to wake up feeling refreshed the following day.
I will definitely be returning for another session with Heather soon.
